City of Bones - Cassandra Clare Genre : YA Paranormal Romance/ Celestial/ Vampires/ Werewolves/ fea
Star Status : 5 Stars

I had avoided reading this series for a few reasons. First, I used to be closed minded. I never got into the whole Harry Potter craze (don't hate me... I loved the movies.. yes, your read right, the movies!) Once I heard it was like Harry Potter, I passed it up every time. Second, I wasn't an Urban Fantasy fan. Now my reading club has chosen it for the monthly series. I had no choice but to put on my big girl panties and read away...

Let's just say my mind will never close again and I'm definitely a UF fan now. CC writing blew me out of the water. I could get my fill fast enough. I even quoted the writer to death. Every character was bursting with life. Ever scene was depicted in living color in my mind's eye. The romance was spot on between Clary and Jace. You have no choice but to mourn right along with these two as they learn to cope with a devastating blow. A must read for all Ages 12 and up.

A quick coherent thought It had everything you could possible want. Very well written with multi-layered characters, action packed, love interest that drive you mad, and witty lines that make you laugh aloud.

Macy's Favorite Random Quotes :

“Have you fallen in love with the wrong person yet?'
Jace said, "Unfortunately, Lady of the Haven, my one true love remains myself."
..."At least," she said, "you don't have to worry about rejection, Jace Wayland."
"Not necessarily. I turn myself down occasionally, just to keep it interesting.”

“Don't touch any of my weapons without my permission."
"Well, there goes my plan for selling them all on eBay," Clary muttered.
"Selling them on what?"
Clary smiled blandly at him. "A mythical place of great magical power.”

“Do you remember back at the hotel when you promised that if we lived, you’d get dressed up in a nurse’s outfit and give me a sponge bath?" asked Jace.
"It was Simon who promised you the sponge bath."
"As soon as I’m back on my feet, handsome," said Simon.
"I knew we should have left you a rat.”

“love makes us liars”
